The mechanism features a self-contained, continual-feed design that converts food waste into water on-site. The operation can break down organic waste with no odor, no sludge build-up and no need to send the resort’s waste to a landfill. In addition, the system’s aerobic decomposition process produces no harmful methane gases.

EnviroPure’s patented technology maintains an optimal temperature and oxygen level, utilizing a proprietary blend of all-natural organic nutrients to accelerate the inherent aerobic decomposition process. Organic waste is quickly reduced to a harmless liquid that is odor-free and can be safely disposed of through existing municipal wastewater systems. This eliminates the need to haul food waste to landfills, saving transportation fuel and refuse space. The system handles virtually any kind of food waste including vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and poultry, dairy products, bones, shells and pits, with complete decomposition typically occurring within 24 hours.

In addition, the property also installed a WeatherTRAK “smart water” management system, a state-of-the-art process from HydroPoint that uses mobile-to-mobile technology to schedule irrigation based on local landscape needs and weather conditions. In addition to generating operational cost savings, the WeatherTRAK program has reduced the amount of water being used at The Phoenician by 50 percent.
