The Republic of Tea Expands Collection of Downton Abbey® Teas
Novato, Calif. (PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- The Republic of Tea, leading purveyor of premium teas, is proud to expand its collection of Downton Abbey® teas. Each of these all natural calorie-free, gluten-free teas are inspired by the award-winning TV series that has entranced millions of viewers and become a global phenomenon. The four new flavors are: Bates’ Brambleberry Tea, Mrs. Patmore’s Pudding Tea, Lady Cora’s Evening Tea and Downton Christmas Tea.
Downton Abbey is home to the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants. The first two seasons follow their lives from the sinking of the Titanic in 1912 through the First World War while the later seasons follow them into the early 1920s.
The Republic of Tea’s line of Downton Abbey teas can be served hot or over a tall glass of ice:
• Bates’ Brambleberry Tea – This bold yet smooth premium black tea is perfectly coupled with a handful of summer fruit – blackberries, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries. A touch of sweetness to this cup will bring out the full, ripe flavor.
• Mrs. Patmore’s Pudding Tea – This decadent dessert tea has the homemade flavors of vanilla cake drizzled with rich caramel sauce. The full-bodied base of premium black tea lends itself well to a splash of milk, making it a perfect afternoon tea to partner with puddings, scones and shortbread.
• Lady Cora’s Evening Tea – This caffeine-free blend of chamomile and lemon balm will calm the mind and body. Relaxing botanicals create a cup of tranquility that helps ease the nerves. Nice before bedtime when a soothing cup is a welcome friend.
• Downton Christmas Tea - Mulling spices – featuring cinnamon, cloves, allspice and other fragrant herbs – have been infused into wine and cider since Victorian England. Here we blend premium black tea with the warmth of traditional mulling spices for a truly festive cup that will fill your manor with the aroma of the holidays.
The new teas join the already popular Downton Abbey English Rose, Grantham Breakfast Blend and Downton Estate Teas. Each of the new all natural premium teas are certified gluten free; Lady Cora’s Evening Tea is also Non-GMO Verified through the Non-GMO Project. Each tea comes in colorful tins featuring beloved Downton Abbey characters and holds 36 round, unbleached tea bags free of unnecessary tags, strings and staples. The Lady Cora and Grantham Breakfast teas are also available as a new two-tin “Upstairs” gift set. Each tea is ideal as a gift on its own or as a pair in this chic set, featured in a beautiful box.
Mrs. Patmore’s Pudding Tea, Lady Cora’s Evening Tea and Downton Christmas Tea retail for $12.00 through the company website (http://www.REPUBLICofTEA.com), mail-order catalogue and by calling 800.298.4TEA (4832).
