The mission of China City of America’s Thompson Education Center Project is to promote the education of younger generations, to increase Sullivan County’s local employment rate, and to stimulate economic growth in the region and the state.
Because of the dissatisfaction mounting with China’s test-centric educational system, more Chinese students are willing to go abroad at a younger age. The goal of the Thompson Education Project is to fuse Eastern and Western education systems, to diversify education development in the future, and to provide a better learning experience for students. The project will employ excellent faculties from the United States, and enroll students from both China and the U.S.
Thompson Education Center project will also bring a large number of jobs to Sullivan County. Initially and throughout the project, many construction and real estate workers will be employed. Once the project is complete, there will be many job openings at the Thompson Education Center including but not limited to professors, instructors, school book store and shop keepers, chefs, landscapers, cleaning, and maintenance workers.
Aside from the jobs directly created from the project and the day-to-day operations on-location, there will be a ripple effect throughout the community. These new workers and resources required to run the Thompson Education Center will increase demand greatly for local goods and services, benefiting the local community.
Thompson Education Center will generate huge economic growth and millions of dollars in business revenue for the county every year.
