Timesly Launches as First Facial Detection Time Clock App For iPad
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- Timesly, the first facial detection time clock app for iPad, launched today, allowing employees to clock in or out of work by snapping their photo using Timesly’s one-of-a-kind FaceCheck technology. Now available for download via the App Store, Timesly provides a new way to quickly and easily manage employee attendance, reconcile timesheets and view detailed analytics.
FaceCheck uses the iPad’s camera to detect and hone in on the user, adding their picture to a comprehensive log of every photo ever captured of that person. Soon FaceCheck will be complemented by true facial recognition technology, a feature that users can expect in an upcoming version of the Timesly app at no additional cost.
Set-up and use of Timesly is simple. Employers download the app for free onto their iPad or iPad Mini and mount the device near the entrance and exits of their venue. Employee photos are logged into Timesly’s secure server as a baseline for the facial detection technology. Central to Timesly’s architecture is its OneToOne dedicated application programming interface (API), which allows employers to easily integrate the solution into their existing payroll systems with minimal changes.
“The time clock is an antiquated piece of equipment, and we knew we could do better,” said Timesly president and founder Marc Aptakin. “We wanted something that looked sleek, with updated technology to make employee time management more efficient. Timesly has transformed the traditional time clock into something remarkable. Facial detection personally connects with employees. We’re proud to provide a solution that’s much more than a time clock and acts as a valued member of your human resources staff.”
Timesly’s subscription model is based on company size. Regardless of the number of devices or locations using Timesly, all organizations pay one flat rate for attendance management, analytics, timesheet reconciling and more. The subscription service includes access to the MyTimesly portal, where organization data is stored and managed. Managers can create employee profiles, review timesheets and export records to payroll, all from a single interface.
With Timesly, managers can even send personal messages as employees clock in or out, reach employees via email or text messages and set alerts for employee overtime benchmarks.
Timesly is already being used by employers in the quick-service, hospitality and manufacturing industries, including members of the Fortune 500. To try Timesly free for 30 days, or to learn more, visit https://www.mytimesly.com/.
