TisBest Announces New Philanthropy Education Program
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- TisBest Philanthropy released the first details today about DiscoverGiving, a new philanthropy education program for grades 3-6. The video preview released today features a group of 4th grade public school students sharing their views about the meaning of philanthropy.
“DiscoverGiving is a resource for teachers who want to bring a discussion about compassion and generosity into their classroom,” said Karli Larson, TisBest Education Manager and creator of the DiscoverGiving curriculum. “We love this video because it reflects the message we built into DiscoverGiving- that philanthropy can happen any time, anywhere and with anyone.”
TisBest Philanthropy created charity gift cards in 2007, and is a trailblazer in donation gift giving. In addition to charity gift cards, TisBest Philanthropy offers other charitable gift products including ExpoGiving, which allows companies to engage trade show booth visitors with on the spot, self-directed charitable contributions.
The new DiscoverGiving program will provide students with an opportunity to make a real charitable donation using a TisBest Charity Gift Card, one of the six activities included in the DiscoverGiving kit.
“We have wanted to get our charity gift cards into the hands of students for several years,” said TisBest founder Erik Marks. “We believe the experience of making a real charitable donation will set many students on a path to becoming compassionate and charitable citizens. It’s very exciting to see this project come to fruition.”
TisBest will release the full details about DiscoverGiving when the program is released to the public on October 1, 2013.
