Todd Schaus’ New Book Encourages Kids to Try out Soccer
IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) September 11, 2015 -- When author Todd Schaus was a child in 1978, his father wrote the original “Soccer is for Me” to help him learn about the sport. Schaus now has a daughter that is passionate about soccer, for whom he has written the recently released modern version of, “Soccer is for Me” (published by WestBow Press).
A fun story of a girl and her soccer team is juxtaposed alongside educational information about soccer. Written for younger soccer players and their parents, “Soccer is for Me” offers a resource for familiarizing oneself with the joy of the sport and its basic terminology.
“It combines the fun and excitement of joining a soccer team with fundamental information and beautiful action photos that make you want to get on the field,” Schaus says.
Meghan and her team, the Thunder, are getting ready to play their season and learn more about the game of soccer. “Soccer is for Me” conveys fundamental information on dribbling, passing and shooting, combining the enjoyment of soccer with the rules of the game.
Jose Cedeno, the Director of Coaching and Player Development of the Belmont United Soccer Club and Jon Hersey, the American Youth Soccer Organization Regional Commissioner, endorse “Soccer is for Me” for its engaging story and educational content.
