Touch International Introduces World's Brightest 7-Inch LCD Panel
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) June 30, 2014 -- Touch International, a leading supplier of custom touch screens and enhanced displays, has introduced a new 7” wide-temperature, super-bright industrial LCD that’s over 200% brighter than any comparable display on the market. The display is a product of the company’s 2014 enhanced display and product realization initiative.
The 7” LCD utilizes ultra-bright, state-of-the-art LED backlights for up to 2,000 nits of brightness. This is 5-6 times brighter than a standard off-the-shelf LCD monitor or industrial display and at least 500 nits brighter than any available sunlight readable 7” panel on the market. This ensures that the operator sees a clear, sharp image even in direct, bright sunlight.
The widescreen LCD has a best-in-class operating temperature range of -30C to +85C to ensure complete functionality for the most demanding applications. “This panel is a milestone for our in-house display enhancement program,” says Bill Linzmeier VP Business Development. “While several companies offer sunlight readable displays, most are not as wide of a temperature range. In many cases, this renders the sunlight readability useless after a short amount of time in a real world application.” The LED back light and patent pending LED drivers have a life expectancy exceeding 50,000 hours of operation. The industrial panel has also been tested for thermal shock, vibration, mechanical shock, and more.
The panel's performance is fully compatible with Touch International’s existing enhancement offerings such as touch panels, EMI shielding, ruggedization, optical bonding, and other value-add services. This display is ideal for use in a wide range of applications including marine, military, transportation, industrial, public use terminals, surveillance systems, amusement parks, kiosks, and more.
