TransVoyant Adds Seasoned Supply Chain Executive to Management Team
(PRWEB) June 08, 2016 -- TransVoyant today announced that it has hired Scott Byrnes as its Vice President of Marketing. Byrnes will be responsible for all aspects of corporate and product marketing at TransVoyant, including messaging, branding, lead generation, public relations, analyst relations, sales enablement and solutions marketing.
“Experienced leadership is so important for companies at any phase of development, but especially during periods of explosive growth,” said Dennis Groseclose, CEO of TransVoyant. “We’re excited and fortunate to have someone like Scott to lead our marketing organization. He has a proven ability to crystalize messaging, define and package solution offerings, build out highly productive marketing teams and fill the top of the sales funnel.”
Byrnes has extensive supply chain experience, having been in various sales and marketing leadership roles at companies including Manugistics, Vastera and Amber Road. While at Amber Road, Byrnes successfully led the company’s rebranding effort and developed a new messaging framework that effectively communicated its value proposition to investors, analysts and prospects.
He grew Amber Road’s marketing team from a staff of four US-based employees to a global organization of 25 members, based in the US, Europe and Asia. Byrnes was intimately involved in the company’s S1 drafting process leading up to its successful IPO in March 2014.
While at Vastera, Byrnes ran corporate communications, public relations and sales enablement. He was also involved in the company’s S1 drafting process and helped to define and execute a communications strategy tied to its IPO in September 2000.
Prior to Vastera, Byrnes ran the eastern region pre-sales group for Manugistics and was awarded the firm’s President Award for his achievements in that capacity.
He began his career at Accenture following his graduation from the University of Richmond with a degree in finance and marketing.
“I’m excited to join such an innovative company,” said Byrnes. “I’ve been involved with supply chain technology for a long time, but I’ve never seen anything as transformative as predictive analytics. This stuff is spooky good.”
