Tristate Brain and Spine Institute's Oblique Lateral Lumber Interbody Fusion (OLLIF) Author, Ali Abbasi, Achieves Significant Milestone
Alexandria, MN (PRWEB) April 21, 2016 -- Ali Abbasi, coauthor of the first ever peer reviewed paper on the revolutionary Oblique Lateral Lumber Interbody Fusion (OLLIF) procedure, provided by Tristate Brain and Spine Institute's, Dr. Hamid R. Abbasi, just achieved another milestone. His team, University of Cambridge, won the legendary boat race in London against Oxford College; truly one of the highest achievements in athletics.
Ali finished his Master's Degree in Physics at Trinity College in Cambridge where Sir Isaac Newton once taught. He is now finishing his second Masters Degree in Bioinformatics. Throughout the program, he developed a computer algorithm for identifying certain relevant segments of genomes.
He has been accepted into med-school at Yale and Chicago, where he will start his medical career in August. Previously, utilizing his knowledge in mathematics, Ali put it to good use by validating and performing bio-statistics in the infamous OLLIF study. He is planning to stay involved in the OLLIF studies, and continue to apply his math and physics skills in his new carrier in medicine.
