Two Antonelli College Students Win Workforce Tuition Scholarship in Ohio
(PRWEB) September 15, 2014 -- The Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools (OACCS) has awarded Rose Morgan, Practical Nursing student of Cincinnati and Elizabeth Johnson, Hospitality Management student of Cincinnati Workforce Tuition Scholarships to attend Antonelli College-Cincinnati.
The scholarships were two of 31 awarded by the association through a competitive process. The grants assist individuals who attend a career college or school in Ohio. Antonelli College, in Cincinnati, was one of the participating institutions that contributed to the scholarship fund.
OACCS created the scholarship program in 2011. This year, a total of $51,700 was awarded to the 2014 winners.
"Ohio's career colleges and schools are committed to putting higher education within reach of people who desire knowledge and training necessary to obtain a job in a challenging economy," said R. David Rankin, OACCS executive director.
Students must use the funds for tuition, fees, and supplies directly related to the cost of the education and training. To maintain eligibility, students are required to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better and a 90 percent attendance record.
“Antonelli College is pleased that these two students represented the College in their essay submissions,” stated Edward Rito, Campus President-Cincinnati. “Our students are here to better their lives and this scholarship award is representative of their dedication to achieving their dreams.”
