Two InventHelp® Clients Develop Improved Fitness Equipment (CBA-2247)

Many people often find it difficult to reach that point of muscle failure to stimulate progress for future muscle growth without the help of a spotter. As a solution, two inventors from Elgin and Summerville, SC. developed AUTOMATION FITNESS.
The invention can improve the users' workout by always adjusting to their needs, which allows the user to achieve their desired sets of training while continuing to use good form and posture. This allows the user to work out until muscle failure is achieved. The design enhances personal safety by reducing the risk of injury for those fitness enthusiasts that like to feel a bit of a strain before muscle failure is reached. The equipment also eliminates the need for a spotter, which makes working out alone more convenient. Additionally, the device enables the user to automatically monitor their progress by keeping an accurate record of their results each time they use the equipment, therefore replacing past practices to manually track their progress, effectively saving time and effort.
The inventors' personal experience inspired their idea. "I was working out alone in the gym one day and wanted to push myself to the limit. I was unable to maximize my workout safely because I didn't have a spotter to help assist in lifting the weight once my muscles became fatigued," one inventor said. "This made us think of ways to improve equipment to assist users when working out alone."
