Two Professors in the Masters in Organizational Leadership Program at Alvernia Presenting at International Conference
Reading, PA (PRWEB) October 28, 2014 -- Travis Berger, an assistant professor in the business department at Alvernia University and coordinator of the Masters in Organizational Leadership (MOL) program and Amber L. Stephenson, Ph.D., MPH who teaches Social Theory and Research Methods in Alvernia's MOL program, have been selected to present at the International Leadership Association’s (ILA) conference this fall.
They will join with Richard Bakken from the University of San Diego to present Making an Impact: Leadership Development and the Branch Campus Model Worldwide.
Over 650 presentations were submitted to the ILA and a rigorous peer-review process selects the presenters. These sessions, along with keynote presentations, round table discussions and pre-conference workshops are designed to let professionals share ideas, research and best practices on leadership.
The ILA currently has over 2,500 members from 69 countries.
Professor Berger attended the ILA conference in the past and calls it an excellent experience, “because you get to listen to all of the cutting-edge research that is being conducted in the field of leadership and you can interact and socialize with the preeminent subject matter experts.”
About the Masters in Organizational Leadership program
This selective program is offered in a small cohort model to promote collaboration and professional growth. Classes are offered in the evenings at Alvernia’s main campus in Reading, and are delivered in traditional, blended and online formats. Students who enroll in the fall cohort should graduate in fewer than two years.
The curriculum focuses on developing the knowledge, skills, abilities and behaviors essential for effectively leading teams, groups and organizations. By embracing a multidisciplinary approach, students gain a holistic perspective necessary for making decisions in today’s complex business environment.
