UC Irvine Extension Introduces Career Coaching Online Course
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) January 20, 2014 -- Enrollment is now open for the new “Career Coaching Online Course” at the University of California, Irvine Extension. Available from Feb. 10 to March 16, participants will learn how to strategically plan and connect education achievements with how to prepare for a new job or enhance a position. By working with a career coach, participants will have the opportunity to design a plan for career success. In order to accommodate busy working professionals, participants may enroll as late as March 1. The fee for the online course is $175.
“Our career resources programs at UC Irvine Extension are designed to provide students with the most up-to-date and relevant tools needed to make the best career decisions,” said Tom Pokladowski, Esq., Director of Law, Finance, and Business at UC Irvine Extension. “This new online course will provide valuable one-on-one coaching for those seeking career fulfillment in a wide array of industries.”
Participants will receive personalized feedback on essential career planning and advancement tools such as: creating a personal brand, developing a personal network, drafting a cover letter, drafting a resume and performing in an interview. Coaching will also include instruction on how to manage relationships and how to communicate one’s value in writing and in interviews.
Course instructor Jeannie K. Sticher, M.A., has more than 20 years of domestic and global experience in various senior level customer and human resource positions. She has served as a consultant and trainer for a variety of organizations and has extensive experience in leadership of large customer teams, organizational design and the development of learning programs. Currently, Sticher also teaches within UC Irvine Extension’s International Programs.
