Vanarama fly in to land major football deal
(PRWEB UK) 21 August 2014 -- In its continued bid to become the go to name for UK commercial vehicle leasing, http://www.Vanarama.co.uk has announced that it is the new title sponsor of the Football Conference. The three year partnership deal was announced last week at Telford Football Club during the pre-season meeting of the 68 chairmen of the Conference clubs. Andy Alderson, Vanarama’s managing director, was delighted to fly up to the meeting and speak with the chairmen in person. The deal witnesses the reinstatement of the competition’s traditional names and will see Vanarama take naming rights for all 1,476 games across the three divisions during the 2014/15 season, now known as the Vanarama Conference, Vanarama Conference North and Vanarama Conference South. The substantial partnership deal is just the latest stage in the company’s dynamic brand building activities, which have included the re-launch of its responsive website as well as successful TV and radio advertising campaigns across national stations including Sky Sports and Talk Sport.
Vanarama will use the Conference platform to further build UK wide awareness and understanding of its business. Andy Alderson, Vanarama’s managing director says, “Britain’s van drivers, our customers, are seen as the engine room of the UK economy. The Conference is the heartbeat of the national game, so our sponsorship of it is a natural fit. We know that many of our customers from construction and the related trades are also huge football fans. Even if their main team is one of the better known Premier League teams, everyone has an affinity with a non-league club. With the construction sector predicted to play a major role in the growth of the economy over the next few years, this deal and the coverage it brings has the potential to rapidly accelerate our brand building process.”
Another reason Vanarama has chosen to make such a significant sponsorship investment is due to the recent changes in Financial Conduct Authority regulations. “We are aware that the tough new regulatory regime in the form of the Financial Conduct Authority is set to make it harder than ever to remain in the leasing sector,” explained Alderson. “With the appetite for leasing predicted to grow even further, strengthening of our brand awareness now is a very measured step. At Vanarama we are fortunate that the underlying principles of the new rules, such as honesty, transparency and expert customer services are already ingrained within us.”
A company of football fans itself; Vanarama is looking forward to embracing the football culture and communicating with the fans through the League’s established national, regional and social media platforms. In fact, before signing the deal Vanarama made sure it consulted the League and the fans alike over the name of the competition, it was unanimous that they should return the League’s name to the Conference; “What the fans, our customers, want and think means the world to us, so we’ve done exactly that,” explained Alderson. Vanarama is also looking forward to ‘putting back’ into the non-league machine via an affiliate scheme. The scheme will see clubs receiving £100 when staff members and fans choose to lease a van, pick-up or car through Vanarama. The fans will also receive free mats, branded in their non-league club of choice as part of the deal.
Football Conference fans can expect to see a lot of http://www.Vanarama.co.uk over the coming three seasons. Naming rights of the deal means the company will be mentioned when the fixtures and results are reported across the media including the BBC, sports sites and newspapers. Vanarama will also have a strong presence across the 68 grounds on advertising hoardings, in programmes and is already looking forward to flying the Vanarama flag at the playoff final at Wembley next year!
Under the terms of the deal, as well as the competition being renamed, Vanarama has been given the following rights:
• Naming rights on all major TV channels – BBC, Sky and BT Sport
• Coverage on ALL 32 BT Sport live games
• Presence on advertising hoardings at ALL 68 grounds in the league
• Advert in programmes at all 1,476 games
