Vice Admiral Troy M. (Mike) Shoemaker, US Navy (Ret.) Joins Draken International Advisory Board
LAKELAND, Fla. (PRWEB) March 12, 2018 -- Draken International, the largest commercial provider of tactical aircraft operations, is proud to announce that Retired US Navy Vice Admiral Troy M. (Mike) Shoemaker has joined as the newest member of the company's advisory board.
Vice Admiral Shoemaker transitioned from the U.S. Navy in 2018 after more than 35 years of distinguished service, culminating in his final assignment as Commander, Naval Air Forces, where he was responsible for the combat and personnel readiness of all aviation forces and aircraft carriers for the Navy. VADM Shoemaker has been leading complex and diverse teams for years and has extensive experience in strategic planning and risk management. Shoemaker began his career flying the A-7E Corsair and later transitioned to F/A-18 Hornets and Super Hornets. He commanded a fleet F/A-18 squadron, the east coast F/A-18 training squadron, a carrier air wing, two deploying carrier strike groups, and Naval Air Forces, Atlantic before his final tour as Naval Aviation's 7th "Air Boss." He has accumulated over 4400 flight hours and has 1066 carrier arrested landings.

Shoemaker's announcement joins a succession of milestones achieved by Draken over the past twelve months.
