Visa Lighting's Midwest Region Welcomes Scott Manning
MILWAUKEE (PRWEB) March 14, 2018 -- Scott knows the Midwest well, having lived and worked in Wisconsin for years. He's no stranger to the lighting industry ever since his lighting sales debut in 2007, around the time when LED was really taking off. He began in the petroleum market and has since managed sales relationships in the exterior/area market, the high abuse market and commercial/institutional markets. These experiences cascaded, building and reinforcing one another. "I've been able to expand and utilize my LED knowledge through exterior, interior, high abuse…" says Scott. "It all fits together."
The common thread is the people involved. Scott Manning approaches the manufacturer-to-sales-rep relationship with a keen sense of logic. "I'm a believer in the technology and an advocate for the rep, so it's my job to be a conduit between the two," he says. The lighting industry world and the specification process is quite complex, to say nothing of the luminaires themselves, but Scott believes in people helping people. "Making the rep successful is my focus," he says.
Having worked with a few other lighting manufacturers, Scott is excited by Visa Lighting's approach to industry challenges. "As a smaller company, we do a lot of things that bigger companies don't do," he says, referring to Visa Lighting's rep initiatives and in-depth outreach and education efforts. He's not wrong – many of Visa Lighting's newest products are technically complex and require their sales force to be well-educated.
"Scott's experience and relationships strengthen the Visa Lighting team, and our Midwestern agents have an excellent resource to help them succeed in this ever-changing industry," says Cindy Vera RedDoor, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
"I'm anxious to get out there and start knocking on some doors," says Scott.
