WarrantChecks.org Bolsters Site Security
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- WarrantChecks.org is stepping up their site security after reports that many Internet companies are vulnerable to attacks and fraud, the company announced yesterday.
“Day in and day out, we hear new reports of e-commerce sites being vulnerable on the Internet,” a WarrantChecks.org spokesman said. “It seems like playing a game of whack-a-mole – you need to smack down one hacker attempt while keeping your eye out for the next one. While we have always been secure, we want to stay one step ahead of the game. That's why we are updating our security now.”
WarrantChecks.org has not yet been the victim of a hacker attack, he confirmed.
“Many companies would assume that just because nobody has targeted them yet, they are safe,” he said. “We don't believe in thinking that way. Our thinking is that we simply might be the next target.”
WarrantChecks.org is now keeping its most sensitive data in the Internet cloud in order to make it harder to attack, he said. Beyond that, they are employing the most up-to-date anti-hacking ciphers possible.
“Our new software can identify a likely attack and take proactive action against it,” he said. “This is our way of making sure our sensitive customer data is never compromised.”
WarrantChecks.org has also created backup servers to make sure their data is available in the case of a natural disaster.
“Even if an asteroid hit Earth, your data would still be available,” he said.
