Warren Montgomery for District Attorney Campaign Moving Full Steam Ahead
Covington, La (PRWEB) September 08, 2014 -- "My opponents got in the race a little earlier than I, but we hit the ground running,” said Montgomery. “My team is in place, our supporters are engaged and the voters are already starting to hear our message.”
That message, Montgomery said, begins with his experience as an aggressive federal prosecutor of major drug crimes in the early 1980s. The DEA and U.S. Customs commended his work during that time.
Montgomery also emphasizes other issues that set him apart, such as his experiences as an entrepreneur and small business owner and his unique independence and ability to bring a higher standard of ethics to public office.
“I’m not beholden to anyone,” said Montgomery, who is a practicing criminal defense attorney in Covington. “I can immediately step into office and work independently for the people as District Attorney of St. Tammany Parish and Washington Parish.”
In the two weeks he has campaigned, Montgomery has trumpeted the need for greater accountability and “the highest level of ethics in government” for the 22nd Judicial District in 2014.
“I was the first in this 2014 election for District Attorney to say I will self-impose a term limit of two terms,” said Montgomery. “I believe power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. I believe public officials should be held to a higher standard of ethics and accountability here in St. Tammany Parish and Washington Parish. I hold myself to that standard.”
A television and radio spot have already hit the airwaves announcing Warren Montgomery’s candidacy for District Attorney in St. Tammany Parish and Washington Parish. Mailers and letters have also gone out.
