World of Home Fitness Supports Meals on Wheels
Savannah, GA (PRWEB) September 23, 2014 -- World of Home Fitness is committed to supporting the local community through philanthropic support. Most recently, the gym has been raising money to support Meals on Wheels through their Ageless Fitness program. Throughout the year, World of Home Fitness has participated in and raised funds for many other charitable causes.
Over the summer, World of Home Fitness raised more than $600 for Meals on Wheels. Through their Ageless Fitness program, participants helped feed seniors "one rep at a time." For just $15, people could participate in five 30-minute classes, including yoga, zumba, boot camp, circuit and ballroom dance. All proceeds went to Meals on Wheels.
Walking into the World of Home Fitness at 6850 Abercorn St., one immediately gets the idea that the business lives up to its motto, “The real deal in home fitness.” The huge showroom is filled with elliptical machines and cardio and weight training equipment, perfect for those shopping for the ultimate in home fitness gear. But the true heart and soul of the operation is its owner/operator, Will Sutton.
Sutton exudes a spirit of excitement and enthusiasm for serving his customers and the community. “You don’t become a legend without fans,” he says. “Without people to help you, you don’t get anywhere.”
He says he works very hard to make those words ring true in his many philanthropic events and endeavors that support local causes.
A Savannah native, Sutton grew up on 41st Street, in the house where his parents still live. A quiet kid who liked art, he was the victim of bullying by neighborhood kids, which led him to try out for wrestling and football at Bible Baptist School. Learning in a team environment along with constant support from coaches and teachers provided the basis for his desire to give back to others.
To this day, Sutton is a featured speaker at the school that built his character and sparked his entrepreneurial spirit: to own a business that helps people overcome obstacles and find success.
“I tell the kids that I was just like them at one point, and try to teach them that it doesn't matter where you come from. You can succeed through hard work and dedication. My dad taught me that hard work pays off, and I haven’t ever seen anything that proves that statement wrong.”
In addition to World of Home Fitness on Abercorn, Sutton also owns World of Fitness Gym on Victory Drive.
