Young Entrepreneur Strives to Pay Her Own College Tuition
Troy, OH (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- Angela Hinojosa is on a mission to pay for her own college. She's only 10 years old but savvier than most kids her age. She understand the rising cost of college and she's using her entrepreneurial skills and passion for design towards good use.
Angela is enrolled in Youthful Saving’s My Own Business Challenge online course. Through the course she's developed an online shop called "Angela's Designs." Here customers can buy hand made duct tape wallets and bracelets. She has her own designs but also takes custom orders. Wallets and bracelets start at just $5 dollars and shipping is included.
Angela can also be found on National Financial Educators Council new crowdfunding platform, "SavingsFund." This innovative platform allows Angela to effectively save money for college tuition.
Angela's goals is to save $50 a week for the next eight years. By the time she's 18, Angela will have over $20,000 for college. Angela hopes other youth will be inspired by her story and will take responsibility for their college tuition.
"Starting this company is a dream come true. I'm so thankful for my parent's support and the support of Youthful Savings and National Financial Educators council. Doing this business is a dream come true!" says Angela. She hopes she can start a momentum of youth entrepreneurship.
